Features

The DX56 front press is two rows of 56cm Ø Guttler rings in special cast iron material. The special cast iron ring is cast in 2 halves and clamped around a centre square shaft eliminating the need for spacers and washers between the rings. 40mm Ø bearings are fitted as standard.

The double row of rings gives:

  • Extra weight, ideal for heavier soil types
  • More rings per metre giving enhanced ring / soil contact
  • The overlapping of rings gives a cleaning effect

Tined units

Tined units

A tined unit will always enhance the performance of a front press. Tines will prepare and level the seedbed as well as breaking down the larger clumps of soil.

Tined units are fitted with 3 rows of tines c/w reinforced helpers and reversible points fitted to 80 x 50 frame. They are fully adjustable by top link ratchet system.

Draw bar and depth wheels

These can be added to allow your front press to be used as a trailed press and vice versa.

Your Guttler Rollers

Real people, real farmers, getting real benefits from using Guttler rollers.

Andrew Manfield

We have been using a 6 metre folding duplex guttler roller with drawbar and transport wheels for two seasons. It has proved to be one of the most useful and versatile pieces of kit we have ever bought because it has the ability to run in both wet and dry conditions while providing consolidation, clod crushing and levelling effects. We tow the roller behind our Horsch FG cultivator. It has enabled us to do away with the following harrow as the roller provides good levelling as well as consolidation. We have also used it as a final pass on a sowed seed bed, either as a separate pass or towed behind our Amazone Primera drill when conditions required. The guttler roller used as a final pass on a seedbed seems to remove any danger of capping which may be associated with other types of roller.

We were looking for a front press and tines to work ahead of our Weaving Tined drill, and liked the idea of adding draw bar and depth wheels to change to a trailed press for a more versatile machine.

This is a simple machine which can be changed from front press to trailed unit in less than 20 mins, and works well in wet and dry conditions and on a variety of soil types.
