Harrowflex & Levelling Board

The Harroflex features the new Guttler ripper board - a single row of adjustable sprung tine paddles fitted with 12mm wearing tines. The dual action ripper board offers a leveling action in brown field / ploughed ground sites, and an aggressive tine action when direct seeding.

The parallel levelling board is still available as an option if required.

This is followed by 2 rows of 12mm thick sprung tines which work through the grassland removing dead and unwanted grass creating a tilth for the new seed. Removal of dead grass aerates the soil improving fertiliser uptake into existing and new grass.

Tines are fully adjustable for both rake and depth and can be set for optimum performance in any conditions.

The modular design of the Greenmaster machine allows the Harroflex to be used as a front mounted harrow. Depth wheels are fitted for stability and to follow the ground contours. Machines over 3m are hydraulic folding for transportation.

The Harroflex can be supplied as a single unit for front or rear mounting in conjunction with an existing set of Cambridge rollers.

Seeder

The versatility of the Greenmaster machine allows the seeder to be supplied to your own unique specification.

Seeder fans can be hydraulically, PTO or electric driven depending on requirement. A ground speed metering mechanism is standard.

Seeder options include:

  • 190 litre capacity hopper c/w single electric fan
  • 410 litre hopper c/w twin electric fan
  • 410 litre hopper c/w PTO driven fan*
  • 410 litre hopper c/w hydraulically driven fan

* our recommended option.

The machine can be set for seeds to be broadcast in front of the Harroflex, or between the Harroflex and roller depending on application and requirements. This can be easily reset on the farm to suit.

The Roller

The Roller

The unique Guttler self cleaning roller has 2 sizes of Guttler cast iron Prisma rings working together, a 33/38cmØ roller or larger 45/50 cmØ roller.

Self Cleaning Design

The smaller ring fits snugly on the shaft whilst the larger ring runs on the inner shoulder of the smaller ring giving a cleaning action to the outer surface.

Pendulum action

Rollers over 3m feature gangs of rings.Each gang is central mounted to the frame allowing a unique contouring action ensuring the roller has maximum ground coverage.

We have been using a 6 metre folding duplex guttler roller with drawbar and transport wheels for two seasons. It has proved to be one of the most useful and versatile pieces of kit we have ever bought because it has the ability to run in both wet and dry conditions while providing consolidation, clod crushing and levelling effects. We tow the roller behind our Horsch FG cultivator. It has enabled us to do away with the following harrow as the roller provides good levelling as well as consolidation. We have also used it as a final pass on a sowed seed bed, either as a separate pass or towed behind our Amazone Primera drill when conditions required. The guttler roller used as a final pass on a seedbed seems to remove any danger of capping which may be associated with other types of roller.

We were looking for a front press and tines to work ahead of our Weaving Tined drill, and liked the idea of adding draw bar and depth wheels to change to a trailed press for a more versatile machine.

This is a simple machine which can be changed from front press to trailed unit in less than 20 mins, and works well in wet and dry conditions and on a variety of soil types.
